Spartians is a fast-paced, two-player card game that can be learned in minutes but provides hours of entertainment. In Spartians, players battle to the death using warriors, siege weapons, and mythical creatures. The first player to lose all of their cards loses the game.

To start playing Spartians, each player shuffles their deck of 30 cards and deals 5 cards to themselves. The remaining cards are placed face down in the middle of the players to form a draw pile. The youngest player goes first.

The player with the lowest numbered card begins the game and play passes to the left on each turn. On a player's turn they draw one card from the draw pile and play one. Cards can be played as either warriors, siege weapons, or mythical creatures.

Warriors are played as normal cards and can be used to attack your opponent or block their attacks. Siege weapons are also played as normal cards but can only be used to attack your opponent's fortifications (cards with a shield). Mythical creatures are special cards that can be played unlimited times during a turn and have various effects on the game.

The aim of the game is to destroy your opponent's fortifications (cards with a shield) and then their castle (card with a crown). When attacking, you must use at least two warrior cards. You cannot use siege weapons or mythical creatures when attacking your opponent's fortifications but you can when attacking their castle. If you lose any of your warriors during an attack, you cannot continue that attack.

When defending, you must use at least one warrior card plus any siege weapons or mythical creatures you wish to use. If you lose any of your defenders during a defense, you must still defend using what remains.

If at any time both players have no cards left in their hand, the player with the lowest numbered card in their deck is considered the loser and the other player is victorious!
